Depuis la fenêtre de l'appartement, vue magnifique sur la vallée et les coucher/lever de soleil. Idéal pour les amateurs de promenades pédestres ou en VTT. Nombreux commerces et infrastructures à environ 9 km. Dans la localié possibilité de louer des VTT(32 euros/semaine). Maison à 2 apts Titena, 500 m au dessus du niveau de la mer, mitoyenne. À 2 km du centre de Seggiano, à 9 km du centre de Castel Del Piano, situation surélevée sur une colline. En commun: jardin 500 m2. Meubles de jardin, barbecue, espace de jeux pour les enfants. Accès en voiture (1 km chemin non goudronné). Place de parking près de la maison. Magasins 2 km, restaurant 2 km, café 2 km, centre thermal Bagno Vignoni 17 km. Centre équestre 2 km. This is a fairly basic apartment in a building on a small working farm - sheep, goats, pigs, chickens, etc, The farming activities, however, in no way impinged unfavourably on us. It was ideal for a pair of oldies who wanted a base from which to explore the territory; it would not suit those who want an indolent, poolside holiday. The owners live in another house on the site. They were very friendly and welcoming, though it did help that we had enough basic competence in Italian to get by. Titena is deep in beautiful countryside, very different from the manicured acres of Chiantishire with which Tuscany is normally associated, but there are many fascinating and beautiful small towns, abbeys, castles and even a mercury mine with guided tours within an hour's drive. The beech woodlands on the slopes of Monte Amiata were particularly beautiful. The wine centres of Montepulciano and Montalcino were a little further away and the seaside and Lago di Bolsena are each within an hour and a half's drive. Because much of the driving involved is on minor roads, some of which do not appear on maps, the use of a sat-nav is to be recommended. Our only criticism of the property was that there were no comfortable chairs - armchairs or sofas - to relax in of an evening, but this is a criticism which can be made of many 3-star Italian holiday lets.
